Clients Requirement
The administrative head of a renowned hospital in the city of Azogues, Ecuador, requested the refurbishment of a space that was being used as a makeshift dining area for nurses, doctors, and administrative staff working at the hospital. He saw the opportunity to enhance the working environment of his employees by providing them with a space that would allow them to socialize and improve relationships among colleagues.
Proposal- Inside Design Studio
Upon hearing the requirement and understanding the driving force behind this project, I immediately thought about the colors and sensations they could evoke. My proposal aimed to provide these employees with an open-concept space that would encourage them to share and build friendships through simple questions about smells and/or colors. White was chosen as the primary color to create a sense of spaciousness, while yellow was used to evoke feelings of joy or enjoyment. We managed to create a cafeteria area equipped with essential appliances for heating or cooling lunches, as well as cleaning and storage facilities. Additionally, to optimize the small space for the number of employees, we worked with custom-built and mobile furniture that could be adjusted depending on the number of people present at different times of the day.
